Not in the Heart by Chris Fabry

ENTER TO WIN A PAPERBACK COPY BY LEAVING A COMMENT FOR CHRIS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.

THIS CONTEST ENDS MAY18

Truman Wiley used to report news stories from around the world, but now the most troubling headlines are his own. He’s out of work, out of touch with his family, out of his home. But nothing dogs him more than his son’s failing heart.

With mounting hospital bills and Truman’s penchant for gambling his savings, the situation seems hopeless . . . until his estranged wife throws him a lifeline—the chance to write the story of a death row inmate, a man convicted of murder who wants to donate his heart to Truman’s son.

As the execution clock ticks down, Truman uncovers disturbing evidence that points to a different killer. For his son to live, must an innocent man die? Truman’s investigation draws him down a path that will change his life, his family, and the destinies of two men forever.

My husband and I are currently reading this book as we commute from work to home. He reads aloud and I drive. He is distracted by reading the good story and therefore not bothered by the crazy drivers on the expressway. I am enjoying the good story and shared interest with my husband, and it always makes the ride home seem too short! We have enjoyed Almost Heaven, Dogwood and June Bug together in the car. Everyone should be so blessed! Thanks for the ride.

We will probably pass our book along to a prison ministry after we finish with it. Thanks for making someone happy through this book contest.

Blessings, Janice S. Garey jsmithg(at)hotmail(dot)com P.S. An autographed copy would be nice.
