"a fantastic follow-up to Messages with a great mix of mystery, suspense and drama"
"intricate, thought-provoking, and full of surprises"
"There were parts that jerked at my heart strings, and yes, I did cry a little"
"twist and turns leading up to an unbelievable ending"
Six months after strange messages lead David Chance through a gauntlet of lies and terror, they are back—this time drawing him unwillingly into a murder mystery involving an elusive teen with a mysterious gift.
Jon Blake is a troubled teen with faint aspirations of escaping Boston and attending college, but when the voices in his head save his life and begin revealing hidden secrets, he finds himself lured into a national conspiracy involving the FBI and powerful businessmen.
These two lives, guided by unknown forces, weave together in unexpected twists toward one inescapable conclusion.
Once again, Hileman delivers.
In VOICES, the latest book in the David Chance series, John Michael Hileman grabs the reader from the first word and sends them on a blazingly fast ride to the end. If you love suspense; if you are intrigued by characters that come to life and entice you to invest emotional energy, VOICES will not disappoint!
VOICES has more than enough twists and turns and unexpected action to delight any discriminating reader. If you haven't read the first book in this series, MESSAGES, you will find yourself compelled to go back and read it as quickly as you can. In VOICES Hileman continues to build on his primary character, David Chance, but also introduces a new character, Jon Blake. The intertwining action between David and Jon's story lines carry the reader along at a breakneck speed.
Hileman has the innate ability for creating vibrant and rich characters--It's clear he knows his craft. As a result, he has provided his readers with believable suspense and books that beg to be read again. I for one cannot wait for the next book in the David Chance series!

Fatherless, by Dr. James Dobson and Kurt Bruner
Fatherless: A Novel
by Dr. James Dobson and Kurt Bruner
Review by Janice Daku
Some extremely controversial issues fuel the plot twists in this novel.
Fatherless is set in the future, but it is a future that is not terribly distant. The novel itself engaged me as a reader, immediately. I found myself quickly caring about the characters, and wanting to know what would happen next.
Fatherless paints a vivid picture of an America that has lost its moral compass--a nation that is in economic crisis as a result of decisions made decades ago.
Imagine waking up in a society where assisted suicide for the old and disabled young has become part of the fabric of the nation--where the healthcare system includes "transition" clinics.
Fatherless deals with some profoundly disturbing topics. Regardless of your world view, I believe anyone who reads this novel will have lots to think about, and, if you are like me, you will want to do some research and soul searching about the topics raised.
FATHERLESS is available at Amazon.com for $10.67 (we'll let you know when it goes on sale)
