Fatherless: A Novel
by Dr. James Dobson and Kurt Bruner
Review by Janice Daku
Some extremely controversial issues fuel the plot twists in this novel.
Fatherless is set in the future, but it is a future that is not terribly distant. The novel itself engaged me as a reader, immediately. I found myself quickly caring about the characters, and wanting to know what would happen next.
Fatherless paints a vivid picture of an America that has lost its moral compass--a nation that is in economic crisis as a result of decisions made decades ago.
Imagine waking up in a society where assisted suicide for the old and disabled young has become part of the fabric of the nation--where the healthcare system includes "transition" clinics.
Fatherless deals with some profoundly disturbing topics. Regardless of your world view, I believe anyone who reads this novel will have lots to think about, and, if you are like me, you will want to do some research and soul searching about the topics raised.
FATHERLESS is available at Amazon.com for $10.67 (we'll let you know when it goes on sale)
